I am a player and yes it is very difficult to play in contact sports, but it's not just La Salle spectators that are "rude." Many parent spectators of other teams are equally as loud and it's not fair to just blame one team. Frankly, most players can't even hear their parents. And yes, it is a contact sport, but when elbows are illegally being thrown and other dangerous activity (especially slide tackles that are not legal) should be taken into consideration as a violation. SOmeone could seriously be hurt. I think that *Shirly* is out of line. Also I would like the Yakima Herald to recognize the Highland Girls Soccer team and their outstanding defesive efforts this season with now 11 shutouts, the most of any team in the valley. It gets really old when they think they can say some of the stuff they say. Especially when the parents say they are getting to physical when Soccer is a CONTACT SPORT!
