Indianapolis defeats Central

ANAHEIM, Calif. — Getting a balanced attack that featured no player with more than 11 points, Indianapolis rolled past Central Washington 84-44 in Disney’s West Coast Tipoff Classic on Saturday at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Megan Gardner and Sarah Fenneman both scored 11 points, three more players had 10 each, and two more added nine points apiece to lead Indianapolis (2-0).
Central’s Shaina Afoa scored 13 points to lead all scorers, but no other player had more than seven for the Wildcats (0-2), who shot just 26.5 percent from the field (17 of 64) and trailed 45-13 at halftime.
Central closes out play in the tournament today against Cal Poly Pomona.
