Prep boys basketball — Elmo, Cadets handle Wenatchee

Taylor Elmo scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Eisenhower subdued Wenatchee 67-48 in non-league boys basketball action Tuesday night at Ike Gym.

The victory kept the Cadets unbeaten at 3-0, going into home games Friday night against Moses Lake and Saturday night against Davis.

Jordan Gaut totaled 15 points and five assists and James Lopez added 11 points for the Cadets, who outscored the Panthers in each quarter.

Austin Bryan had 25 points for Wenatchee, but had none of his teammates reach double figures.

SUNNYSIDE 66, GRANDVIEW 61:
At Sunnyside, Kyle Leija and Alfredo De La Barrera scored 13 points each as the Grizzlies outlasted the Greyhounds.

Sunnyside outrebounded Grandview 32-15 with De La Barrera grabbing six.

Rogi Fajardo led the Hounds with 18 points.

Guy Sanchey led the Cougars with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Lawrence Fiander added 15 points, and Cory Williams 13 points for the winners.

Kristian Carrasco had 24 points for Mabton.
