Jones guides Mustangs past Bulldogs

PROSSER — Sophomore Tamara Jones scored 10 of her season-high 32 points in the fourth quarter to lead unbeaten Prosser to a 68-59 win over Ellensburg in CWAC girls basketball Saturday night.
Jones converted three 3-point plays in the game and complimented her inside game with a pair of 3-point baskets for the Mustangs, who took sole possession of first in the CWAC at 4-0.
Prosser’s Lacie French pitched in 15 points and teammate Kelli Wilson made 5 of 6 free throws in the final period.
Ellensburg trailed 49-36 after three quarters before putting up 23 points in the final frame. Deaira Gordon scored eight of her team-high 15 points in the fourth quarter.
