CWU fastpitch sweeps W. Oregon

ELLENSBURG, Wash. — Holly Rossman’s second home run of the game, a walkoff shot in the bottom of the eighth inning, lifted Central Washington to a 4-3 victory over Western Oregon to complete a sweep of a GNAC fastpitch doubleheader Saturday.

Central won the opener 5-2 as the Wildcats improved to 6-2 in the GNAC and 8-5 overall. Western Oregon fell to 8-6 both in league and overall.

In the opener, Linse Vlahovich threw a three-hitter, and Taylor Trautman drove in two runs to lead Central. Rossman, who was 4-for-8 for the day, had a double in opener, one of the Wildcats’ 10 hits.
