Franks leads CWU All-Academic honorees

ELLENSBURG, Wash. — West Valley’s Hillary Franks was among nine Central Washington soccer players named to the GNAC Academic All-Conference team Thursday.

A sophomore whose major is undeclared, Franks has compiled a 3.35 grade point average.

Franks was joined on the team by seniors Michelle Mohn (3.38, secondary education), Monique Cornier (3.26, secondary education), Amber Easterbrook (3.25, exercise science) and Jessica Andrews (3.22, exercise science); juniors Gwenna Carie (3.71, exercise science); Annie Weisbeck (3.71, exercise science); Ellie Eckroth (3.60, exercise science) and Kaycie Hutchins (3.41, exercise science).

Another West Valley alum, Janae Godoy, made the team as a senior at Seattle Pacific. Godoy has compiled a 3.25 GPA in biology.

Selah’s Kendra Courcy, a junior at Northwest Nazarene, was also named to the team. She has a 3.31 GPA in business administration.
