CLASS 4A-3A

Meleesha Maltos, Sunnyside bowling, senior

After bowling a 463 series with a high game of 167 to tie for fourth place in the 3A-2A regional meet, Maltos survived a double bowl-off to earn a trip to state this week.

CLASS 2A

Samantha Smith, Selah bowling, sophomore

Back in the pack after two games at the 3A-2A regional meet, Smith rallied for a state-qualifying third place with a final game of 182 for a 473 series.

CLASS 1A

Weston Parker, Naches Valley basketball, senior

Parker’s double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds against Zillah followed 15 points and seven boards in an overtime loss to unbeaten Granger.

CLASS 2B-1B

Lawrence Fiander, White Swan basketball, sophomore

A career-high 25 points from Fiander helped the Cougars defeat Riverside Christian 50-45. He made five consecutive field goals during one stretch.
