CLASS 4A STATE BASKETBALL
Wednesday’s first-round pairings at the Tacoma Dome
Auburn (16-9) vs. Gonzaga Prep (23-2), 9 a.m.
Stanwood (16-7) vs. Federal Way (23-2), 10:30 a.m.
Davis (20-7) vs. Decatur (17-9), noon
Jackson (20-4) vs. Skyline (20-3), 2 p.m.
Walla Walla (22-5) vs. Lincoln (18-7), 3:30 p.m.
Wilson (18-8) vs. Lake Washington (17-7), 5 p.m.
Eastlake (17-8) vs. Lake Stevens (18-5), 7 p.m.
Kentwood (16-10) vs. Mead (19-6), 8:30 p.m.
Decatur finished third in the West Central District, which advances six teams to state. The Gators have a 6-4 junior guard, Jerron Smith, who averages 22.3 points a game and senior Jordan McCloud, who contributes 18.3 points per contest.
