Yaks drop two to Blue Mountain

YAKIMA, Wash. — Rachel Aimone scattered seven hits and gave up no earned runs, but Yakima Valley nonetheless dropped a 2-1 decision to Blue Mountain in the first game of an Eastern Region fastpitch doubleheader Saturday at Dunbar Field.
The Timberwolves won the second game 7-0.
Arielle Peterson had two hits in the first game and Li’i Levale doubled in the second for the Yaks, who slipped to 0-4 in region play and 5-11 overall.
YVCC hosts Big Bend for a doubleheader Friday at 2 p.m.
