Soccer: Davis’ Late Goal Leads Selah

SELAH, Wash. — Quincy Davis scored in the 63rd minute, off Mark Valencourt’s second assist of the game, to give Selah a 2-1 victory over East Valley in a CWAC boys soccer match Saturday.
East Valley had tied the match on Caleb Buck’s goal five minutes into the second half. Selah grabbed the early lead when Chris Lyon scored six minutes before halftime.
The victory moved the Vikings to 6-2 in league, while East Valley fell to 5-3, missing a chance to grab a share of the South Division lead with Toppenish, which fell at Quincy.

QUINCY 3, TOPPENISH 1: At Quincy, Pedro Nunez had a goal and an assist as Quincy scored three unanswered goals after Toppenish grabbed an early lead on Luis Alcala’s goal.
Frank Medina broke the tie with a goal in the 63rd minute as the CWAC North leaders improved to 7-0, while dropping South-leading Toppenish to 6-2.
