Girls basketball — Goldendale knocks off No. 8 Granger

GRANGER, Wash. — Lexi Cameron scored 19 points and dealt seven assists as Goldendale upset eighth-ranked Granger 44-38 in SCAC West girls basketball Tuesday night.
The Timberwolves, who improved to 4-3 in league play and 11-3 overall, built an 8-0 lead after the first quarter and then held on.
Lyndsay Oswalt led the Spartans (5-2, 12-3) with 18 points.
ZILLAH 49, NACHES VALLEY 43: At Naches Valley, Kassidy Ruggles had 11 points and Alexcis Higginbotham had 10 as the Leopards built a 12-point halftime lead and held off the Rangers to avenge an earlier loss.
Ivy Smith scored a game-high 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Rangers.

WENATCHEE 48, EISENHOWER 14: At Wenatchee, Elizabeth Armenta scored eight points to lead Ike, which didn’t score more than five points in any quarter.

KAMIAKIN 80, WEST VALLEY 49: At Kamiakin, Khadidja Toure poured in 48 points and sister Sira Toure added 18 for the undefeated, second-ranked Braves.
Paige Albrecht had 14 points and Ashley Gray totaled 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Rams.

EAST VALLEY 50, PROSSER 33: At Prosser, Yasi Mohsenian and Ashlee Betancourth combined to score 21 points as the second-ranked Red Devils remained unbeaten.
Mohsenian totaled 11 points while Betancourth had 10 points and five assists. Prosser’s Sydney Mercer led all scorers with 18 points.
SELAH 61, GRANDVIEW 49: At Selah, Kailee Wood scored 22 points to power the Vikings, who outscored Grandview 33-14 over the middle two quarters.
Marissa Caballero and Payton Parrish scored 19 and 17 points, respectively, to lead the Greyhounds.
WAPATO 49, ELLENSBURG 36: At Ellensburg, Darian Gasseling and Justine Sosa paced a balanced Wolfpack offense with 12 points each.
Sammi Jo Blodgett added 11 points for Wapato. Alexa Orcutt led the Bulldogs with 11 points.
EPHRATA 55, TOPPENISH 34: At Ephrata, Talynn Woods hit three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, sparking a 24-5 surge that carried Ephrata to victory.
Woods finished with 11 points, and Hailey Boyd added 10 for the Tigers.
Osiris Rodirguez had 18 points for Toppenish.

RIVERSIDE CHRISTIAN 60, KITTITAS 28: At Riverside Christian, Kendra Staymated scored 15 points, Breezy Byrne had 12 and Madison Roberts added 10 as the Crusaders rolled.

KIONA-BENTON JV 46, BICKLETON 30: At Kiona-Benton, Jamie Venema totaled 15 points and 17 rebounds for the Pirates (4-4).
