Match pitted CBBN 3A unbeatens||

SUNNYSIDE, Wash. — Trailing by 18 points with five matches left, Sunnyside made those five matches count in its CBBN 3A wrestling showdown with Pasco on Tuesday night.

The seventh-ranked Grizzlies finished with four pins and a technical fall to roar back for a 39-28 victory in a pairing of league unbeatens in the final week of the regular season.

Sunnyside moves to 6-0 and will close out its conference campaign at West Valley.

Pins by Daniel Avalos, Josue Pinedo and Miguel Guzman rallied Sunnyside from a 28-10 deficit into a 28-28 tie with two matches left. Austin Carman added a technical fall at 285 and Homer Romero clinched the victory with a third-period fall at 106.
