ELLENSBURG, Wash. — Lacy Haddock scored 26 points to lead four Central Washington players in double figures in the WIldcats’ 82-79 win over Simon Fraser on Thursday night in Nicholson Pavilion.

Brandon Magee and Jordan Coby each scored 15 points, while former Yakima Valley standout Jody Johnson scored 10 for CWU (12-11, 6-9 GNAC).

Twelve of Haddock’s points came from beyond the 3-point arc, where the Wildcats were 11 for 20 as a team.

Johnson led the Wildcats with 15 rebounds to complete his double-double. CWU outrebounded Simon Fraser 39-28.

Justin Brown scored 24 points to lead Simon Fraser (8-15, 3-12 GNAC). Jordan Sergent, Connor Lewis and John Bantock each scored 14 points for the Clan.

“They kept trying to take the air out of the ball and run the shot clock down inside 15 seconds,” CWU coach Greg Sparling said. “Our guys struggled with that for awhile, and also they passed up some open threes. The second half we shot it with a lot more confidence and played much better.”

Central Washington plays its final scheduled home game of the season on Saturday at 7 p.m. against 10th-ranked Western Washington.
