Ike’s Blanchard among 10 signing with CWU

February 16, 2012 by

ELLENSBURG, Wash. — Eisenhower’s Lizzie Blanchard has been listed among 10 high school soccer players who have signed letters of intent to play at Central Washington, the university announced Wednesday.

Blanchard, a 5-foot-4 defender, was an all-CBBN 4A first-team selection last season.

“Lizzy has good speed and a never-say-die attitude,” CWU coach Michael Farrand said. “We expect her to play as an outside defender and be a fierce competitor as she trains to win a starting role.”

Also signing with the Wildcats were Emily Ainsworth, an outside midfielder from Camas High School; Addie Beplate, an outside midfielder from Cottonwood High School in Holladay, Utah; Alisyn Cundiff, a forward-midfielder from Bothell; Lauren Duty, a midfielder-forward from Tahoma High School, Kianna Green, a defender from Grant High School in Portland; Reilly Retz, a defensive midfielder from Kentwood High School; Cassie Ripley, a forward from Skyview High School in Vancouver; Aubrey Rodgers, a defensive midfielder from Emerald Ridge High School in Puyallup; and Ashley Saracino, a defender-midfielder from Lake Stevens High School.
