McKole scores twice to lead CWU

ELLENSBURG, Wash. — Carson McKole scored twice to lead the Central Washington women’s soccer team past Saint Martin’s 3-0 on Sunday at CWU Soccer field.

McKole’s first goal came in the ninth minute off an assist by Miranda Heslep. Her second came 29 seconds after halftime off a pass from former Ellensburg standout Hadli Farrand.

Serena Tomaso scored the final goal in the 87th minute for CWU

Central goalkeepers Kayla Lipston and Kori Butterfield combined for the shutout.

With the victory, the Wildcats (8-3-4 overall, 7-2-2 GNAC) secured their first winning record since 2008.

Central will play its final three game of the regular season on the road starting Thursday against Montana State Billings.
