Prep roundup — Gigstead double-double leads Ellensburg boys

ELLENSBURG — Nick Gigstead’s double-double sparked Ellensburg’s boys to a 57-38 victory over Othello in CWAC boys basketball Thursday night.

Gigstead put together 15 points and 10 rebounds and Mack Mitchell collected six steals to help the Bulldogs improve to 7-2 in league and 9-2 overall.

Ellensburg travels to Grandview on Saturday.

Cadets top Davis 3-1

In the final match of the regular season, Eisenhower defeated Davis 3-1 in CBBN girls bowling on Thursday at Nob Hill Bowl.

Megan Walls, Sarah Cawthron and Jasmine Miller all hit 360 or better for their series totals to lead the Cadets (5-3 league).

Wenatchee and Kennewick will have a roll-off next week to determine who will host the 4A and 3A-2A district championships on Jan. 24.
