CWU’s Haddock earns all-GNAC second team

ELLENSBURG , Wash.— Central Washington sophomore Lacy Haddock was named to the second team of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference men’s all-conference basketball team announced on Monday.

Haddock, a 6-foot-1 guard from Las Vegas, leads Central in scoring at 16.0 points over 24 games and leads GNAC guards in field-goal percentage at 53.4 accuracy.

Haddock recorded a season-high 35 points against Montana State Billings last month.

Central senior Jody Johnson from Seattle earned honorable mention honors. Johnson averages 12.0 points and leads the conference with 8.2 rebounds a game.

The Wildcats (14-12) will take the No. 6 seed into the GNAC Tournament and face No. 3 Seattle Pacific on Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. at Saint Martin’s University.

GNAC ALL-CONFERENCE

Player of the year: Taylor Rohde, Alaska Anchorage.

Newcomer of the year: Antoine Proctor, Montana State Billings.

Freshman of the year: Cory Hutsen, Seattle Pacific.

Coach of the year: Brad Jackson, Western Washington.
